F.S.: 1st Gen Rear SOLD

This rear came out of a 96 4x4 v6 in lieu of an elocker rear. It was my sons truck and he has since sold it. The guy who bought it did not want to take this rear. I believe the gear ratio is a 3.91 but I cant say for sure. I'm in southern NJ and have no more first gens, so if I dont sell it itll get scrapped. Obviously this is not something I want to ship. I'm looking to get rid of it very soon. $150 obo.

 

Interested. How many miles were on it?

Let's assume there are 200k miles on this. It could be less, but the 190-200k range seems to be a fair estimate

 

It appears to be in good order aside from surface rust. I probably should have put it in my 02 with a rotted rear pumpkin, just never got around to it.

 

Would you be willing to sell the brake covers?

 

I'd like to sell the entire unit to be honest. I really don't want to mess with it if I don't have to. It can go to good use for someone. I would possibly consider it if there isn't any interest, but like I said-- I had an 02 with a pretty badly rotten rear and I had this and didn't wind up swapping it out. Let's see how things shape up in the next week. I'd really like to see someone put this to good use and keep a first gen on the road for another 100k

 

I’m interested in just the 3rd member if you’d separate them. FedEx ground will ship just a third for around $75. I could send a call tag for it. Let me know if you decide to pull it apart

I’m about an hour east of Pittsburgh. If you were closer I’d come get the whole thing for your price. Having trouble even finding a 3rd member around here

Yea pretty close to it. Atlantic City is around 6.5 hrs from me

 

I really want to see this thing go to good use. I know there's plenty of tacos like my 02 that are in good shape minus the rust and rot that northeast salt brings.

Well like I said I’d take the just the 3rd from that axle for $200 shipped. Shipping is like $75. I just had one shipped from up in NY but it ended up being the wrong one
