I recently picked up some OME struts and springs from craigslist. I'm selling the springs since I don't plan on putting on a front bumper ever. Springs are OME 886. Recommended for use of tacomas with armour/plate bumpers. According to the previous owner, the springs have less than 10k miles. I did not install them as I wanted to get some money before buying the 885's. With that in mind, I'd be willing to trade for 885's with similar or less mileage. $160 shipped in the lower 48 or $125 local pick up. Paypal available with buyer paying PP fees.

What is the downside of installing these without a bumper? Rough ride?

Yeah, what he said. Talking with Dan at wheelers about it, he recommended selling them or the garbage because the ride would be so stiff. lol. Depending on where you look, they recommend these with 100-200lbs of additional front end weight i.e. plate bumpers and winch.

The roads there west are much smoother than here.. I HAD 886s with bumper & winch in SE MI, it wasn't too bad, it's 50% preference the other half you just tolerate for being able to blast through exit ramps with little lean.. provided you keep the sway-bar on. I do recommend using the stiffer OME shocks, the soft ones seem a little under-damped for me... the roads here in the GTA are actually worse the MI.. unbelievable!

Yep, but at the end of the day you got what you were after and someone else got what they wanted. Worked well!
