I was kind of sort of trying to stay on topic but since the thread is completely devolving and OP still ain't been back...

I hope you're enjoying it, I certainly did but as a long time Legend of Zelda fan, (Ocarina of Time being my first game, Majora's mask being my favorite followed second very closely by Wind Waker), I was a little bit let down by Breath of the Wild not going to lie. (In no small part due to the ridiculous weapon durability mechanic) It had a lot of promise and an amazing world that didn't feel too empty but I've always been a big puzzle solving person and I just felt like the few shrines were too short too simple. I wanted big dungeons and temples with lots of puzzles and multi-stage serious thinking about things problems.

I felt like it was more just trying to be Skyrim for kids and fell short of both marks. Just my personal opinion, I did still enjoy it don't get me wrong and still very much looking forward to Breath of the Wild 2 I'm just hoping it actually comes out for Switch and Nintendo doesn't do what they so often have done in the past; release a downgraded version for the old console and the full experience on their next gen like with Twilight Princess.

I'm actually just starting Skyward Sword for the first time (on Switch) barely 30 minutes in, motion controls are...

    Different...

My VR experience does not translate naturally to it like I hoped.

Always wanted to do SLI for the cool factor and at one point actually had two EVGA 770s but ended up trading those before I could install the second for a 980 TI before I got my 1080 and now SLI is all but dead.

I can't say that I know your pain on an intimate level, but I have been running Windows 10 LTSC version because I'm fed up with Windows' bullshit and have been seriously considering some flavor of GNU as of late.

I bought the collector's mega version of battlefield 2042 as I haven't played any battlefield since battlefield 4 and was really hoping to get into that but can't even play because my ltsc version isn't Windows service pack 1905 or whatever and therefore their punk buster anti-cheat system won't even let me load the game, I played the beta just fine and had fun in spite of all of its bugs but I've heard that not being able to play the "full release" may have been me dodging a bullet as from what I've heard the game just sucks.

    But that's EA for you.

I did just buy Squad on Steam though I haven't tried it yet have you played that?

Call of duty is to twitch skills and arcade like for me (not to mention too many edge lord racists), and Arma is to MilSim real for me.

    Squad looks promising though.

I have enjoyed it thus far, but you're right about the lack of difficulty. The Divine Beast dungeons is really what I would've expected for the shrines themselves.

The 'grind' you have to go through just looking for each shrine so you can collect orbs and boost your hearts and/or stamina is rather....boring too. As for the weapon consumption? I find that as an annoying perk in that, it makes boss and guardian fights very interesting

Damn, my first Zelda was the very first one that was released (and pictured earlier) on Nintendo.

I thoroughly enjoyed Link's Awakening, which you can call Zelda III as it released on the original Gameboy.

Pic for nostalgia (did I mention I was a Zelda fan?)

    20220613_183046.jpg

Speaking of Twilight Princess; weren't they supposed to release that on Switch already?

    Ah you dodged the bullet.

When SLI first came out, games weren't even optimized to run on dual cards. Hell neither were any programs so really it was just to flex your e-peen.

Later on games like Crysis started to get pushed, where you needed fast RAM (and plenty of it) and decent cards running in SLI.

Of course after I built that beast, I got hooked on Rainbow 6 and Guitar Hero as a Marine that got drunk every night at the barracks with his buddies; what else is a Marine to do with his brothers when he isn't bar hopping and starting bar fights with randos? :anonymous:

    Damn the side scrollers!

    That's hard core.

I don't know which ones I have but they came on a disc for GameCube, tried them and was like...

    Whoa; this is before me.

Hell it took me like 4 hours to get over the graphics last time I played Wind Waker again, but that's what PC Masterrace does for you it turns you into a graphics whore.

That's why you always have a Marine that stays sober (usually the dude that's from Montana or Connecticut) and is alone in the barracks that you can call as your late night ride :burp:

    Oh, he was special.

I took him with my buddy Correa on his first ever bar hopping experience.

We drove up from Camp Pendleton and stayed in the Bay Area a few nights. We stayed somewhere downtown that way we could walk back to our room.

One night we ended up in Half Moon Bay which was like half an hour drive further than we would've liked; it was all cause this really cute girl texted me by accident (legit wrong number sort of thing) and we later hooked up.

Correa hooked up with her friend while Tilton, he stayed back at the bar and had a couple of Cosmo's (his fav drink).

Thinking back, damn that girl was really cute. Not sure how we fell out of touch?
