If you like smaller and FuN, the new upcoming ’22 Ford courier looks promising. I liked the original TOYOTA truck because it could fit anywhere and was hard to kill. But I can pretty much predict that this new Ford won’t be anything like that (the kill part).

But maybe, just maybe it might be an incentive for TOYOTA to bring my "back to the future" FuN truck back :D

I just think the 6 will be a reliable workhorse. The 10 will probably be fine to be honest. I just think it’s too many gears. :notsure: 6 is enough. Less parts.

I have a 5.0 10 speed for my work truck. It’s jerky when cold and I noticed upshifts are noisy. Each shift “clacks” into gear.

I’m 6’4” tall and drive the Tacoma (without sunroof and with power seat) just fine.

I own, drive, and like a Tacoma. I have owned other brands that I liked and I don’t have to be some complete fanboy to be on the forum, most people here are level headed about other brands.

What makes that 2017 Tacoma special compared to any other you can buy? It sounds like you’re an emotional buyer. You need to realize at the end of the day a truck is a truck. There are plenty of Tacoma’s available, don’t get stuck on one.

I would ride out the F-150 for a while and just get a new Tacoma when you’re ready. I couldn’t see buying a used 2017 for probably $30K when I could buy four years newer for $40K. You’ll always be able to find a better new Tacoma than the used 2017.

I tend to look around, find a vehicle that I like (a lot) and have a hard time letting it go. There isn’t much special about the 2017 I found. Other than it’s a trd sport, double cab long box, 4Runner trd pro wheels? (Not sure if they’re the pro wheels or not, pretty sure I’m right on that lol), sunroof, heated seats, nav etc... loaded really especially compared to my stx f150. CPO truck and they’re giving me 1500 over book for my f150 (because I’ve shopped at this dealer a few times and have made good relations). The difference in price is negligible.

Surprisingly no those relationships tend to last a lot longer. I just can’t seem to love a vehicle lol

That’s not exactly what I asked. I’m not a payment guy, so the amount financed is insignificant. How much does the dealer want for the Tacoma? Is this Tacoma decently priced and how does that price compare to the same thing new?
