I've been driving a 2013 F150 2wd ac with the 5.0. Not a bad truck at all. On the highway I get 21-22 if I keep it at 70. If I drive like an ass I average 16-17. City I do about 14-16 depending. I would buy a new f150 in a heartbeat over a new taco-if I needed a new truck. The only thing I like better on he taco is the turning radius. The taco is more fun off road though.

I put a 3" toytec kit on my buddies 2016 last month. It's a slick truck. Probably my 2nd choice if I were to buy a new full size.

    I love the 8 speed.

It came down to Ford or Ram for me when I really started shopping for a 2015 closeout deal. I liked the Ram interior and 8speed tranny more, when the dealer took another $5K off the sticker 2 hrs after I saw my truck on-line, I scheduled a test drive and bought it that afternoon.

My next truck will be an F150. The Tacoma is just too small inside for me.

I wanted more and the Tacoma didn't have what I wanted. Looked at Tundra but it isn't even close to my F150. I am getting 19 plus around town top speeds 40-45 with it in sport mode lots of hills and 8,000 and up in elevation, Cruising at 65-70 I get 23 mpg. It will look good once I put Icon stage 1 on it and some real tires.

Next truck will be f150 no doubts about it. Had one for a week prior to getting my Tacoma. Wish I had just found a different lender. Ended up buying the Tacoma cash money.

I had a 96 single cab short bed 4x4 with the 300 6 cyl and 5 speed. I wish they still made something like that today. I would consider a 16 with the 5.0, but the lack of a manual trans is a huge roadblock.

Had a Tacoma, needed more room for the growing family. Went with a 2013 Stx 4x4 F150 Extended Cab with the 5.0 V8. 17 city/22 highway is what ive been averaging. More power than Ill ever need. I can confidently pull into traffic and truck will roll down a highway doing 80 and you wont know. I use cruise control to stay out of trouble haha. My only real complaint is blind spots. Because bed sides are so tall on it, a small car like a Civic is near impossible to see when riding next to my bed. Cant see it in the mirrors or over the shoulder. Took a long time to get used to that. And not a complaint but just a change, not an fun truck in a tight parking lot. But thats a given in any full size. I couldnt go without a Toyota in the driveway though so I picked up a 3rd gen T4R for my toy two weeks ago and also picked up a 4th gen T4R 4R 2 days ago as another toy. Trailered home the 3rd gen, trailer and truck were between 6000-6500 lbs and it had no problem going 55mph. It's the most comfortable truck Ive ever owned too.
