Look at the pics. Looks like the rear axle was just folded back behind the bumper.

Unless this is in England, I don't believe that truck was hit on the driver side.

Edit: maybe the front driver corner? they don't show it in the pics...

 

yeah that dummy who was driving the Toyota sedan in the background ran his stopsign obviously at highway speeds and slammed into the F150 right at the rear wheel. The rear end would probably come loose on ANY vehicle depending on how the hit happens-looks like the right rear wheel area took the worst of the hit.
