I can't speak to that because i've never personally tried to call them or email them. I've always used the online chat function which they've responded to me directly within 5 minutes during regular business hours.

However, they have an active FB Group: The owners of the company are active on their FB group and you can read peoples current wait times etc.

My experience - i ordered my rack last spring and got it within 1 month.
I needed some replacement parts because one broke and they sent me a new order same day for free
So in my person experience, i've had good experience with them all things considered.

Anyways, i'd join the FB group if you are seriously considering the rack as an option. Alan and John are the owners and you'll see very active every day in there.

Edit: also like many small fabricators they don't carry massive inventories. Usually products are made to order

Extrusion have no chat function on their website that I can see or a phone number. Only a website contact us form that's not very helpful as I've got no reply in more than a day and a half. Thanks for the heads up re: facebook.

This stinks. I'm finally ready to make a purchase of a bed rack and there seem to be past contenders now either out of business (Mobtown) or no longer make bed racks (Dissent). Datin Fab won't disclose their dynamic weight ratings and KB Voodoo has some harsh reviews all over the place that make me too nervous to take a chance on them. It seems like there are a lot of fly-by-night companies in the bed rack space. Uptop Overland seems to be the only real company that seems legit but I know little about their bed racks. Maybe its tough times for bed rack makers and people are just buying toppers from the likes of GoFast, etc.

My upTOP will be here next week. I’ll let you know how that goes for the install and my impressions. They sent it out less than a month since I ordered it, and customer service with the online chat was superb.
The main thing that drove me to upTOP was adjustability…and also being aluminum

Thanks for that. What RTT will you be going with and are you putting it high above cab height by chance? I'd be looking to put mine over a Softopper. I'm a bit worried about that much weight so high though, especially if I went for the larger sized iKamper Skycamp 3.0

No RTT for mine. I too, run a softtopper for that reason.
I plan to run it just above the topper, which should be perfect for my fishing poles and conduit tent poles (I shoreline fish for GT’s, would hate to jump out of an RTT to run to a pole in the middle of the night lol

Nice looking truck you've got there! Good luck with the UpTop install next week. Let us know how it goes.

FYI, bottom right corner on the page: upload_2023-1-26_9-46-53.jpg

I'm not like a die hard fan of any company but so far my experience has been good with Xtrusion and their team has been responve and helpful. Try the chat or FB group and see if that sways your opinion. Otherwise, you could go the Alucab/RSI route lol

Took a little finessing for my height that I wanted. But other than that it’s pretty straight forward.
What the instructions don’t say is that the leg armor bolts, interfere with the height adjustment. There’s multiple grooves within the adjuster - so I had to back out the bolt, adjust the height, and retread the leg armor
Pretty easy by myself tho. I can still drop the topper within the bed, collapse it, and take it out.

Interesting... I've been having a similar experience with them since October of 22. VERY limited responses to anything. Got sent the wrong reinforcement plates, and can't seem to get the right ones. I just posted up in their fbook group to see if I can spur a response. I can't recommend someone placing a fresh order right now.

I agree. Everything is just so expensive these days that I cannot afford to do business with a company that is either slack or potentially going out of business. There are loads of problems everywhere these days with a lack of sales help, supply chain issues, to quality control problems, to poor to non-existent customer support.

Uptop’s online chat function was sweet. They answered my questions within probably 2 minutes back and forth. The fact that I live in Hawaii - that was huge. I wanted to make sure the product could fit my truck, for my garage (given my large lift height).
I ordered New Year’s Eve, and received the product within 3 weeks. I was quite impressed with my experience with them

That was my experience with them as well. Uptop chat was very helpful and super prompt. I had all my questions answered and would almost certainly have gone with them had I not changed direction and chosen Alucab last week.
