Actually, I created physical templates. Sam came out to my shop twice. Once for the initial measurements and a second time to marry the slides to the frame. This also allowed him to choose the upward angle of the slides and how far they come out from the truck.

However... (Good eye!) I did use the forum plans general design of the smaller foremost section that wraps down into the crossmember.

Unfortunately, the version of Fusion360 I use for my plasma table will not convert AutoCAD files into DFX files that would be needed.

So, the long answer is I can't be sure, but it looks like the file plans should line up.

The cost of steel right now is insane! It went through the roof last fall and has been creeping up ever since.

I wouldn't be able to provide a cost until I know what I have to buy the week of.

I've heard that it may come down this summer but who knows.

Luckily I play with steel cuz I enjoy it and not to make a living.

I have a couple of presses but neither is wide enough for the rear section. I bent the front section in my shop and had the rear section bent at a local metal shop.

Anyone have experience with these from Montreal? - https://www.instagram.com/scorpion.customs/

Bought a pair just for steps and aesthetics for now to be honest because I don't want to do any drilling just yet. Wondering if they'll actually do the trick one day if I do add some bolts by drilling.

Why do you have to drill? Sliders are direct bolt-on

The one I got from Scorpion Customs in Montreal is direct bolt on but he says he wouldn't use a hi-lift with just the pre-existing holes. He drilled extra holes for bolts on his own to support hi-lift jacking. To me, it appears he did not design them to take advantage of all the pre-existing holes like I see on here. I think I'll just need to upgrade when I do plan to do some more serious off road trails.

It is, but even now all the suppliers around simcoe are struggling to get any in. I've been waiting for over a month for DOM. My supplier says some Hrew will be in tomorrow, which I've been waiting for a weeks as well. But only enough for a bedrack I'm making for my truck. The guy says tubing has been hard to come around since covid and he can't find a solid reason why.

I have tube bending dies for 1.5 and 1.75 and have not been able to get the material I need. Lol

I’m still waiting for @OverlandRacksOntario to get back to me. It’s been since March. I assume he’s abandoned the idea since materials are hard to get/not cost effective at the moment.
