Atleast the drop brackets are better then stacking lifts or body lifts(which ik you hate just as much if not more) :anonymous:

OP, just looked back at your pics and it appears you already have full length coilovers on there. I would suggest calling fabtech and requesting a replacement pair, those look like that have a lot of miles on them.

I highly doubt that lift has only 8k miles on it. Unless the original owner bought the kit and then bought a used set of coilovers to go with it.

No, I agree. Add that to the list of reasons I don't like that kind of bracket lift. There's no going back to stock, or switching to a (IMO) better suspension system down the road. It's why I'd prefer to buy a stock vehicle. Almost daily I see posts about people who bought a truck and it turns out the PO did a real hack job of modifying it.

Although, I'm sure you could fabricate a new cross member and weld it back in. But there's a cost-benefit there that should be considered. For me, it'd be worth it, but maybe not for the OP.

Since the OP's truck has various bits and pieces, and not *just* a fabtech lift, it's hard to really know what would work for him. Previous owner could have fubar'd it up enough that you can't simple put nicer shocks on. Hard to say...

You could buy a new OEM crossmember ($$$) and weld it on. I have only seen one person on the internets do this. Most just chop the rest of it off and put a straight axle in.

haha, true, although this "8 inch" lift the OP has seems like there's more than one suspension "kit" in there...

Not sure if it’s been said, i quit ready after the first page of BS...

You could put some fagtec ext coilovers or kings and call it a day, also rcd uses ext 5100’s on their lifts so that might be a cheaper option?

Coils and shocks is what I’d get to smooth out a rough ride and keep in mind preload=rougher ride.

keep your DB lift and do some reasurch take all TW advice at face value.

    Yup, I liked it earlier.

    ^^I was just reiterating^^

-and adding that he doesn’t need to trash his lift to come to a solution.

Wow, I wonder how many people had blowouts because the morons at the tire shop were putting in the "max PSI" rating into everyone's tires :smack:

Hey, I appreciate everyone's responses. I'll get a better pic up soon. I have learned that the previous owner put an extra 2" body leveling kit on the front. I think the purpose was to keep the tires from scrubbing. My concern with that is the CV angle is wrong. Will that extra 2" body leveling make the ride stiffer? It seems stiff in the front and the back. I'm not sure if the shocks are bad. The truck doesn't bounce around after hitting a bump. I don't feel any kind of bounce. I would describe is more like a bang lol. I don't know if removing the extra 2inches is even an option while those 35inch tires are on. Tire pressure is 50PSI the tire reads max PSI is 65. Again thanks for all the responses.

Doesn’t look like a body lift. You mean like a suspension leveling kit. Looks like he added a spacer on top the strut. That’s easily removable

that 50 psi is like riding on wheels made from rocks. definitely lower that to 35ish. max is there in case of certain circumstances when your tire is put under stresses.

i agree with @Sperrunner there doesn't seem to be any body lift going on there.

It's probably a spacer. I'm learning as I go. Will taking that spacer out give a softer ride?
