3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
Didn't read because its probably mostly people hating on the lift. King and Icon make replacement coilovers for this lift. That's your best bet to improve the ride

Yikes a DB lift, can we make these things illegal already. They just make more work for the people that have to remake crossmembers.

OP it is a bummer that the previous owner wasn't super forthcoming about it but you can at least make it ride decent with some full length coilovers (should be really easy to measure). The spindles seem like they're okay, this lift isn't as egregous as the old trail master DB lift fortunately and it looks like it is at least less flimy than some others I've seen. Hopefully all you need are some nice new coilovers and maybe some softer leaf springs and new shocks.

DB lift is kinda like living with one of those chronic illnesses. With enough money you could be cured and a good fabricator can remake the stock crossmember or weld a cut off one in. But without going to those lengths you can make compromises and just sorta live with it and try to help it with some solid coilovers and possibly a pair of upper control arms to help with gaining some more caster so steering feel improves.

I think camel back sells cross members if you wanna swap back to original.

I want to take out the spacer and get new shocks and coilovers. My problem with that is the spacer was put in so the tires won't scrub. I would have to get like 33" tires if I removed the spacer. I might should just live with it until I need new tires. Not sure if it's a good idea to do any wheeling with the ride that stiff though?

get some better picks of the front suspension. particularly right at where the coilover mounts top and bottom. and heck, grab a few more of the front.

So, you’re missing your front track bars and it does look like the previous owner stretched the 6” to 8 with a spacer. You need those front track bars for sure, and removing the spacer will definitely help.

the suspension is still IFS, track bars only needed on axle no?

I did see that mount under the driver's side and wondered if this was a SAS reversed

Track bars came with that lift kit. I’m not sure they’re necessary, but if the kit was designed for them, I’d want them installed for sure

Remove that leveling spacer will help. Find out where the track bar went, I can see the mounting point on your truck under driver seat, you should have 2, one on each side. Also, get a different set of tires instead of running lowpro, that'll help absorb the road a lot better too.

You have full length coils but yes there is a spacer in there. Remove the spacer and hammer or cut to fit the tires. You have tons of room there so I really don't think the spacer being removed will make you scrub. Go to the alignment shop and have them move the caster as far forward as possible. That will keep the tire away from the rear of the fender.

Reduce your PSI to 35psi.. you can use a chalk test across the tread to make sure the tread is flat across the pavement. If they are overinflated, only the center of the tread will remove the chalk while driving.

Running the tires at 50psi will wear the center of the tire faster, ride rougher, and you will have less contact with the pavement, making it dangerous in the rain.

Take the spacer out soon. It's not helping anything. If your tires rub do a cab mount chop and you can keep the 35's. You need the DB strut bars that are obviously missing in your picture. They help support the DB. Try tire pressure at 35-40 max. PM me if you have questions. I've done a lot of this work on my truck. Don't listen to the DB haters. They typically have no idea what they are talking about.

Good lord I couldn't imagine running my tires at 50 psi, that sounds crazy high. My tires have a "max" psi rating of 80 but I never go over 37. Max PSI rating is in no way any indication of how high you should run your tires. It's just there to let you know how much PSI they can handle.

I'm seeing a lot of misleading stuff here and don't feel like quoting it all. First off, what tire size are you running? If you're running 35s you can get away without the spacers with some trimming most of the time. Cab Mount don't affect our trucks as much as second gens so that's a no. About the trailing arms, they're not really needed. They're there in case of front impact so it doesn't crumble beneath the truck. Seen and done DB lifts without them.

Should be fine depending on your wheel offset to rake any spacers out if there is any.

I would think they would fit absolutely fine at his height, even losing 2-3in theyll never come up far enough to dig into the fender too much with that lift I'd think.

Even with it like it is the front right tire scrubs. Only in reverse with the wheel turned but I figured if it scrubs at all on pavement it will be even more apparent off road.

They might have to come inward a bit then if it is just the body and not on the frame. Most folks have to tub the body, you might too but it should be less than most. Easiest way is to take the coilovers out and cycle the suspension to it's limits and mark to bash or cut.
