Mine took 11 hours, and that included mounting and balancing the tires and installing Alcans and Icons instead of the stock FT stuff. ANd extended brake lines ( I did it myself)

The only parts I really uses were the front drop brackets and the spindles lol.

    that was on a lift.

I helped a buddy put a 6" FT on his 04 in my garage rolling around on the floor and it took 20 hrs.....

I have air at home, but the lift is the key

Finished up last night....took 14 hours total. Today I'm driving to Charlotte, NC to pick up the cheapest price on tires that I've found (315/75 R16 KM2)......tomorrow will be an alignment.:yay:

And my wonderful wife is still bitchin' about all the money that was spent.

that is why db lifts are worthless, let alone you get the same travel as stock.

    Just sitting here thinking..

why would a stock truck with extended travel icons and uniball UCA have any more travel than a 6" truck with extended travel icons and uniball UCAs?

I have never seen an answer for this. I understand the ground clearance argument between a DB ans a 3" kit. and especially long travel.

    Just curious

I plan to have my Icons rebuilt and add reservoirs and change to the extended travel valving, add unibal UCAs and then crank them a touch and run 35s with the CMC - more travel and ground clearance

I run Alcans and 12" travel rear bilsteins right now have alot of rear droop

High COG is no bueno going fast, where the LT performs best. Other than that it won't be bad or anything
