This was covered to a small degree of page 230 something but I would like some clarification. I understand that if i want to run 16's or 17's on a BDS/Procomp/Fabtech lift I would need to add 1.25 wheel spacers. Will these effect my wheel travel when offroading at all? What are the pros and cons if any? I have this image of my wheels being too far out and hitting my fenders when offroading.

From what guys have said, with or without the spacers, to run the 315 a cab mount chop is necessary along with trimming all the lower corners on front plastic fenders. I've trimmed ALOT and still rub sometimes at full turn with the wheel stuffed up into the fender. I didn't go agressive enough with my cab mount chop yet and this is my contact point most of the time. Did the wheel spacer amplify these rubbing issues? Maybe on the plastic fenders but I don't think it effects the rubbing on the cab mount because the wheel is set outward more.

The simple fix for me would be fiberglass fenders with more flare/opening for the wheels. A Tight budget in the house is hampering this.

And with your nice bumper....the only clearance issue would be the rear of the front plastic fenders.

I will install and proceed accordingly. I just dont want to make the mistake of getting 16 or 17 inchers and have to use spacers that will limit what i can and cannot do with my truck when i can just get 18's and have no real issues

FYI I run 17s with no spacers.

You just have to watch the back spacing ( or offset, whichever language you speak)

17x9 4.75" backspacing. Worked on 6" kit but not my current gusseted spindles. So 1.25" spacers were added

    Wheel bearings wear out faster.

Us newer guys (08+) have larger knuckles for VSC. some can use 17's most need spacers to go 17's.
