The diff skids have more pieces that need to be welded with some level of precision so that they fit tight on your diff. More work (time) means more money. Front end skids are basically just flat steel cut to size with a few bends. I'm still working on engineering a good skid to cover the DB stabilizer bars. I have a few ideas on paper but I need metal working capability (and/or more money).....

I've had some vibes at 30mph sense the beginning. My commute to work is 116 miles a day. No issues or failures......just the vibes.

Not really sure why but my vibes got a little better over time. I know my add-a-leaf has settled/drooped some, so that changed the angle some.

I don't agree with leaving the vibe alone. I bought my Scarlett with that shit PC lift and vibes at start and cruising speed and it drove me nuts. It only got worse as I went from 15k that I bought it at until the 40k that I tore it all down and did it right. Axle wrap or vibs it doesn't matter if you can put up with it or not, just fix it. The vibrations may not cause direct damage but could cause unnecessary damage over time and decrease the life of parts in the drivetrain. I have no doubt that my carrier bearings life was shortened by the vibrations.

I agree....it can't be good for the carrier bearing, u-joints & pinion seal.

Agreed I just wanted to know that I could drive the truck while I wait for beefed taco bracket. Plan on going Alcan route eventually too...

Yeah that is for sure, don't want to have to replace the cb again so soon after I just had it replaced.

Nothing against beefed tacos product but I've learned that there is no set measurement to fit your specific needs. From 3" to 6" these vibrations all vary and plague just about everyone. What you spent in that spacer may not correct your angle and could've been done with two packs of washers and some longer bolts on the carrier. If you want a picture I can snap one later and post it.

Here you go. As you see here I have replaced the 1.5 inch mega spacer that was installed with the PC lift and just used washers. I started with 6 on each side and ended up here. I kept the huge ass bolts that came with the PC lift also.

not a big fan of washer being my final solution like that. If i were you would go to machinist and get spacers made. But that is just me.

I see your point, but this solution will be fine for now until I have the time to make them. They will not slip and the washers do not move because they are the perfect size for the bolt. The point I was making was that his issue may not be fixed with a beefed taco spacer, that all of our angles are a bit different. I just wanted to illustrate how I found my measurement. :D

That's great that it worked for you man. My build is not typical by any means so I needed to try something different. Like you, I've thrown a ton of $ at my truck to make it what it is today. I want to be definite with a solution before I spend the time or money on another fabrication.
