    OK...so......

I'm either adding this or something similiar to the family in a couple months:

    Now:

    1. I need to get rid of the blocks in the rear and get me (or do the Old Man Doug mod) a spring pack to replace those blocks

    - what spring pack would be best?

    2. I'm getting the Firestone Ride Rite air bag kit also for the ass end to stay level with this trailer on.

    SO - LEAF PACK?????

I though getting a 6 inch leaf pack would solve my saggy. but i was told by national spring they need the weight of the rear so they can make custom leaf so i do not sag.

Manwithoutaplan has a good point. With a custom shop rebuilding springs for you they can arch them for the perfect fit. Like if the left needs to be arched more to compensate for the taco lean, then they can do it. They can measure each side and get them perfect whereas a bolt on kit would need shims? Or something else to make it level all around?

And that's something I noticed with mine. No lean. But I didn't realize it was gone until someone talked about it on here, and I realized the guys at Triple City Springs probably measured both sides as they worked to deal with that.

Good plan. ;) Also, for me that route was cheaper. Just under $500 for the leafs/labor, vs $400 for new springs with $200-ish for shipping, then doing the work myself. No offroad shops nearby to order from to save on shipping or to have do the work.

Deaver just started making an 800lb expo pack for SDHQ recently and honestly you should call around and get multiple opinions. I know that the guys at Deaver take calls and will have some good input. Do it right the first time and good luck.

    Yes
Be really careful ordering springs and do not over do the weight capacity for towing etc because your daily driving without the trailer or a seriously loaded bed will be horrendously stiff and you will hate it. National built my pack and I would highly recommend them, they do very spot on computer aided design including your actual rear axle weight. The easiest way to get your rear axle weight is to find a big rig truck scale and just park your ass end on it. National has a Mayflower moving co with a scale next door so it's a piece of cake if you are local.

I had a friend with the exact same conundrum as you and he ended up getting a custom leaf pack built for daily driving and off roading and then uses air shocks for towing. He has a single valve for the air lines under the back bumper so it only takes him seconds to stiffen up the rear end for towing without sagging. Air shocks are cheap or you can go big buck with ORI which are siiiiick ! They have fully adjustable ride height and separate rate adjustment and pull serious travel #'s too.

You will have to get new shocks, the PC and Fabtech's are not long enough for the additional droop or compression travel you will have with a good leaf pack. My PC's for example were 5" too short. With a full 6" leaf pack I ordered a 14" stroke shock ( 34" extended / 20" collapsed ).

    Hope that helps...
