When you cycle a front end without a coil you will soon hit a stop wit the uniball, there is only so far it can go. As for the TC lower, they are made to stop the steering and Im in no danger of bending a tie rod unless I'm being an idiot. Ill hit the lower DB at the cam tab or DB itself before I hit anywhere else... And I have when I have when I navigated a trail called Elvis out here. :D
I'm probably going to remove the tires, bumps and coils this weekend and see if I can get more droop/bump out of it before I make the call to remove the spacer inside the coil itself. I may go as far as removing the coil spring and see what we get with just the shock itself for travel. If I do it, I'll try to snap some photos for you.

You can get alot of front flex with out the front sway bar and radflo coilovers. I was up on a 5 or 6th stair on this. I still had alittle more out of the front but the rear was on the bumps. I just ordered new wheels and tires for mine.

    Oh boy...
god i love this thread..... i can agree with everything stated above.... Procomp C/o's blow. not gunna beat the dead horse anymore. Im looking forward to seeing someone make a better riding 6+ inch lift. Im sitting at 8 now and happy with the height. just wish the ride wasn't so bouncy.

That being said, my ride is still better than my brother's SAS ford f250powerstroke. But i am thinking SAS may be my next rout so that i can get a little more articulation out of the front. I think ill upload a video to show u guys.....

It's made of 5/16 aluminum. I had a buddy with a full sheet of it and I just bent it up and bolted it on. It would not hold up to rocks but mud and sand isnt a big deal.

    Yes
Well here is a little project I have been working on during the painful wait times for all the custom suspension orders.

My interior was absolutely trashed so i gutted it and started with new charcoal grey closed loop style carpet like old Jeeps and hot rods. Unless you have done carpet work yourself before just let a shop do it for you because when you order it online it is just a molded blank that fits the basic curves of the floor but it still needs 100% trim to fit and a little steam / fit work. Luckily I worked at a custom shop when I was kid so I was able to do it myself. I ordered the carpet with rubber " mass backing " for extra sound deadening but again if you plan to do the work yourself the extra stiffness of the sound deadening backing makes it extra tough to fit and trim the carpet. I already had ten tons of Dynamat installed back in 06' the entire floor, back wall, roof and doors are done with Dynamat X and I am extremely pleased with how quiet the truck is over OE.

Next I started looking at options to recover my OE seats and quickly discovered that just buying all new seats was only a bit more and I always wanted a 4 door with 4 buckets…only prob is that obviously nobody makes rear bucket seat brackets for a Taco. I ordered an extra set of front brackets and sliders from Corbeau, chopped the legs off and redesigned the legs and had a local TW member SPEEDFREAK help me weld them up then simply re painted them etc. The installation of the rear buckets is honestly pretty simple you have to weld in mounting points for the front bolts IE: sheet metal with nuts welded on then weld to the floor. For the rear bolts simply drill out the floor of the truck and use some nice grade 8 hardware with large washers. As my shit luck would have it...when I designed the rear seat brackets the width of my rear legs ended up directly over a "U" channel under the cab so I had to drill through the floor from the top then drill a small pilot hole through the channel…find it underneath then open up the hole with a hole saw big enough to get a washer and socket through it. The driver side is a bit tricky because you have to partially drop your gas tank to get to the inside rear seat bolt. Luckily our tanks are on hinged straps so it wasn't that tough just take the bolts out of the straps and lower the tank down with a jack just enough to reach up under it. Tip - run your tank empty and it even easier ;) Hey one cool thing about a DB lift - super easy to lay under your truck and work on all that stuff :)

Edit * - before anyone asks - yes I removed the rear under seat storage and no I don't miss it at all because with a DB lift the OE jack is obviously useless and I have a high lift mounted in the bed... and I have another additional storage project in the bed to be revealed later.

I did the stereo system back in 2006 so I just recovered it with the new matching carpet. I'm pretty stoked with it so far but thinking of redoing the audio set up to build a rear center console that blends into the amp rack and sub box. I really like the look of i how I got it to all fit behind the OE trim but now that I have the buckets the front view is a little weird ?

I ordered a few extra yards of the seat cloth and vinyl and had the center console armrest recovered in the same vinyl as the patches on the seats. I also recovered the door panel armrests in the matching material.

Last but not least threw in some TRD pedals for a quick 5hp gain :)
