Doooood that is an odd place to have a crack huh ? It seems super odd that the crack makes it look as thought the stress was from the top down ? That entire cross member in the center is a bolt on piece at least so you can either weld it if you want or just replace it. Do you think it is from impacting the DB braces and the force transferring to it ?

Question for ya' - when you got your skid did it tie the front and read DB's together with the skid ? The guys building my skids seem to feel that I can completely remove the DB braces after the skid install. They said the plate skid would provide much more rigidity than those and of course eliminating them provides more clearance huh ?

Finally got the new wheels and tires just waiting for my new bumpers so I can start chopping the bedsides and flares for full clearance. Tore the right rear flare on a trail last week. Ordered my high clearance rear cut back 2" on the side so I can trim 2" off the flares front and rear at which point it should be zero rub even in the front with the wheel turned and compressed etc.

I was talking to my buddy about that crack and he asked if you did a lot of crawling in 4lo and I said all of your pics are in rock beds and I know you are locked up. He said the amount of load on your tcase and xmember is greatly increased in 4lo and is probably how you did it.

Just goes to show you go hard man, time to upgrade!

Man, those are sweet but just too hard to get parts for. This is why I wouldn't mind a Heep or 4 runner.
