No sorry, we did put it on a truck scale when they were building my leaf springs but we only did rear axle weight. 5300 seems heavy ? This guy in Calexico just weighed his long travel double cab with links, cages, bypasses, spare, two batteries and two friends in the truck when he rolled on the scale and he was under 5300 :

I should have mentioned that to you too, a lot of big shops have financing these days IE: ORW, 4WP, SDHQ etc and they have great interest free deals you should look into it... $100 a month is a hell of a lot easier than $1500 at once ;) I just did it with my new wheels and tires at Discount Tire and got 12 months interest free...

No more debt!! I'm going to close off a few grand credit card with my tax return. The only debts I have left are my truck, house and student loan after that. If I'm lucky I get the bumper out of my taxes, otherwise its all waiting until its paid off. I only have 10k left on my truck and I'm hoping to apply more to principal balance after I get this credit card paid off.

So, I know this has been beat to death.... But, does anyone have a good replacement (something better than oem) carrier bearing? Besides a solid one also..Thinking about taking mine apart flipping and I've read of people filling them with silicone? Hoping dropping the rear of my truck another 1" helps out. Its not totally shot yet, but I can move it around much more than I remember a few months back.

There is one for a Chevy truck that works for Tacoma's from what I've been told. I'm yet to start looking cause I found out after I replaced mine a month ago. The drive line shop I use in AZ said any could be made to work but you can also just find the measurements of the bearing that mach the OEM.

    Possibly this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-GM-Part-Center-Intermediate-Propeller-Shaft-Carrier-Bearing-12377849-/181490555822?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a41ae1bae&vxp=mtr

Might just replacement mine so I have a spare to compare/measure off and go from there

That doesn't appear to be large enough. I believe it was a DMZ built rig that had the different bearing. Your just going to have to get the input/output diameter and go from there.

Any 1 1/2" internal diameter bearing with the correct width mount will work. There are quite a few out there that work BUT if your driveline angles are not right you will blow out any OE style carrier bearing or a silicon filled one too. You really should focus on getting all of your angles correct first, that is the root cause of the issue. Another trick is the TSB trans mount that lowers the rear of the trans a bit.

You don't have to take it apart to flip it, you simply take the bolts out and rotate it and bolt it back in.

I should add too. That it is advisable to find one with mounting slots like the OE bearing so that you have the left/right angle adjustability. If you lay under the back of your truck and look down the drive shaft you will see that it is not a straight line so you have to be able to mount it at that matching angle to minimize the compound angle in the drive shaft.

Honestly my drive line angles don't look horribly bad. They actually look really good imo. I have barely any vibes which is surprising. Only have a slight shutter taking off. I'm not 100% sure my carrier is shot, just seems more sloppy than it did before. I dont want to mess with angles until I get my new 2" blocks from Brian at Beef'd Tacos. Been waiting forever..as expected. I currently have 3" blocks from him and believe he has done a fantastic job on the block angle and pin offset. I have noticed how the drive shaft is angled towards the T-case. Will take that into consideration if I make any drastic changes.

Will keep the tsb in mind. Just not sure I could get away with it because of the lift... Once I get my new blocks in I'll snap some pictures and see what you think of the angles. Hoping they ship by the end of the week..

I'm with you, I've minimized the vibs to a very minor at launch and I'll just deal with it until I blow up the next carrier bearing. It took about 15 months for this one to separate. When that happens I'll start to look for a different bearing.

That's cool, glad to hear that. I didn't know anything about that when I was ripping apart my PC lift. I'm 100% happy with my Icons and they are rebuildable. I will be rebuilding my rears very soon.
