By " front wheel well surgery " do you mean - beating the absolute crap out of your inner fender with a 10lb sledge until just before the metal cracks ? Or are you gonna' get all fancy and do some actual tubbing ?

 

I have beat the wheel wells some but time to have a shop get fancy.

Found a 2013 tx Pro with low miles and also a 2010 with 59k. Both have all the features I'm looking for, the TX is just loaded with all that TRD stuffs (would be sold)

 

Damn...good miles. There was 40,000 on her when I bought mine. I paid $17,000 (thanks to my buddy who worked for Lithia)

Your running about 5" of lift though and 34's correct? Most of us are at 6" or more and 35's thus the clearance. If I had intentions of running my truck that low with a drop bracket then I could understand where you come from. Your obviously loosing clearance at the cross member.

Why not pull your uppers and lowers and whatever else you can for mt and trade it in?? I bet the dealer would let you swap control arms if you found one willing..

You must not have read my posts earlier, that's exactly what I'm doing. I have stock coils, uppers, lowers, leafs and blocks in my garage and waiting to be picked up. The last things I need are 6" spacers for the front coils and a set of pro crap shocks. There are a few on here that offered to sell theirs but I can get them here without shipping for under 200 total.

Ryan has put in a bid on my ICONS fronts so far and I will have my rear Icons and leaf pack up for grabs next. The rest I'm keeping

The wife is also on board with the idea. I think she will love a newer Tacoma that will be easier to climb into. She's only 5'1

 

I've wheeled my DB....feels way more tippy then a MT lift. COG is still higher than if you have a 3" with 35x12.50s. The only kit that doesn't come with stabilizer bars is the BDS...so how many guys actually go out and custom fab a replacement skid to allow for no bars?

Just saying. It's almost apples to oranges. DBs have their purpose and almost anyone that wheels hard will realize the limitations of that style lift. I don't hate on the DB just want to make sure people realize there are better options before they go spending money twice like I did.

 

Is anyone running their stock UCAs with 6"? Any problems with aligning?

 

I am having problems with alignement cause I have beat the shit out of my drop brackets

 

Yep and sort of. Alignment is great actually but i'm anal so it could be a bit more perfect.....so I would love to get new UCA's. But honestly it's just fine.

I have a 6in Fabtech and still running my OME UCA's. No problems thus far.
