They don't need it more often.

But here is "my" thought process......

Icon, Fox, etc coil overs at $1200 to $1900....need rebuild 30K to 50K miles

Bilsteins at $200.....need replacement around the same time frame

So every 12 to 18 months I'll be tearing down for a replacement or rebuild. The replacement can be done in an afternoon. The rebuild option leaves me with downtime to send them off plus the extra expense of having it done. I've watched some rebuilds on coil overs & it's not a road I would want to travel on my own.

In summary, I'm looking at a less superior ride. But I'm trading that off for much less $$ and over all less down time on a daily driver.

Are you going to use the longer bilsteins that way you don't have to use the top hat spacer used with your lift?

...and just what makes you think that those Billies are still in good shape internally after 50k ? They're not - they are toast and not serviceable which is where the value comes I with a higher end rebuildable shock. You can change the fluid in them and fine tune whenever you want easily.

I guess they are 5" lift shocks for the RCD kits. But you still need some lift springs to get full 6+" Maybe RCD sells them or search extended Billy's on Google? Someone mentioned them a few pages back.

A few audio upgrades, tinted windows, remote start because it f'n hot in Texas! 6in Fabtech DB lift, 17x9 Fuel Trophy wheels, 315/70/17 Duratracs,BAMF 80in sliders w/kickout, Prinsu cab rack w/30in Heretic light bar, custom bedside decals, custom hi-lift jack brackets, US Offroad front bumper w/winch, bed rack with RTT, CB, Short wave base station, Ultra gauge, color matched grille surround, an ungodly amount of recover gear, ARB fridge, hood struts, RotoPax, traction pads.
That lift should have 4in Blocks for the rear. Are you sure they sent you the right size?

I installed a RC kit for my buddy and his had 4" blocks, combined with the weak ass oem 3 leafs his had the bro lean sag. But this is a newer truck,it should have the 4 leaf pack and shouldn't sag like that. In that picture he has his old wheels and tires in the bed which isn't helping either.

Add a leaf, it will add height up to 1.5" I believe.

Yea a leaf pack is the obvious answer but considering he just put on a lift I doubt he wants to go and drop another 5-800 on a new leaf pack. He can do a different block or AAL much cheaper.

Even though I stand against blocks, pretty sure this is a street truck for now.

He can always add the 3 leaf icon or wheelers which would be a better option that running a single leaf. Of course a new leaf pack is what should be done.

I'm just saying an AAL or bigger block is the cheap fix and can be done on the garage floor.

Google it. You'll need new center pins but the AAL may come with them. Please post a picture of the leafs/your rear setup. I want to see what is going on.

Does anyone run the fabtech with dirtlogics ? How do they ride ,I was looking at the rcd but with fox coilovers ,but a 6" fabtech with their shocks looks like a sweet set up ,I off road back woods of Michigan and the sand dunes nothing real hardcore but want to be able to rip out in the whooped out areas in the dunes ,I will run 33's too
