Yea not a fan. Mainly for the reason that you mentioned. Creates that weird gap in the rear wheel wells. Also it doesn't add clearance under. To each his own though.
I am happy with 6" and don't need to go any higher except for maybe the extra height I will get from 35" tires.

So do you guys have any opinion on the rear leafs? Expos or alcans? Decisions decisions. Oh and BERTHDZ, I think your truck will look pretty sweet with 9inches. Like they said it is your truck, if it makes you happy that is all that matters. Are you planning to run 35s or 37s?

Would a 285/70/17 work as a spare for a 33x12.5x17? It would right? as long as the diameter is the same which it is.

I am so undecisive. Please fellas that know anything about the rear setup, inform me on our options. Alcans, expos and a shackle flip? I would like the back to sit about half an inch higher than the front. I am about to install my icon c/os and i am almost positive that this will make the front sit a lot taller than the back because of the sag. I guess the best thing would be to get alcans. But wouldn't expos and a shackle flip be cheaper? How much lift does expos and a shackle flip give? about 4.5 inches right? that should be enough because a leveling kit is usually a 1.5-2 inch front lift. i am so torn...

I've heard the expos get 5 and the alcans will give whatever you want.

Just call the guy at Alcan. He can add an extra 1/2" or 1" to the design to give you the extra height. They are custom built to order. They don't have them on the shelf. It takes about 3 weeks for them to make them.

I just asked for them with a 6" lift and only said I would have a spare in the back and they are about 1/2" too short. Make sure you tell them that you want the extra height in the back beyond the regular 6".
