You didnt take it to be aligned after you installed Everything?

No swaybar isnt even noticable to me but if your alignment is that jacked up, thats the issue in making it undrivable.

TC UCAs are great. You can get a Heimed version to help with the alignment. You need to stay on top of the alignment especially if you are pushing 8+" of lift (part of your problem). The sway bar removal is the least of your issues. Make sure your new shocks aren't pushing your UCAs down too much. If your shocks are jacked up too much that will contribute to your crappy ride. Good luck...

I never needed to align at the heims for mine when I had the DB. I really think the tubulars are fine.

Help!!! I've been running the 6" BDS with 18" Methods and 33" KM2s for a few years and love it...zero issues.

I still have my stock 17" wheels and want to have an extra set of tires on those for commuting. Can I fit them on with the BDS kit? Looking for someone who has done it before I start buying spacers, etc...

    Cheers

Almost 100% certain you need spacers due to the stock backspacing and the large spindle.

    Thanks alwaysHI,

I know I will definitely need spacers just wondering if anyone knows how big and if anything else is needed (chopping, etc). I will not be going over 33's.

Check out Headstrong Off Road, they are a vendor on here. I know most prefer the hemi joints but you get an amazing amount of adjustments out of the SPC's. and they are only 2/3rds of your budget. Their customer service is awesome and they have special pricing on items all the

Was thinking the same thing. Doesn't hurt to find out first before throwing spacers on.

That'll be the plan if nobody who's actually done it can tell me the exact spacer size. Just trying to save some time by checking on here first, been pretty busy lately and any time I can save would be valuable. Thx guys

Getting a CMC done tomorrow. Any advice? Will there be anything I need to tell them? I have heard some people say that they didn't get enough trimmed off.

I just pulled the trigger a very short while back. Went with the RC 6" kit, 5100's on all 4 corners, threw in the blocks in for now (coming off tomorrow) because my springs weren't here in time. I got the all pro expos around july 4 since the shipping was free, they arrived the day after the lift was done. Will throw a 1 inch block under them, and see how it is, and adjust as needed (don't know how much lift to expect from them for sure). Longer stainless braided lines all around. I still haven't taken many pics of it, since I've been super busy. Which is one reason I had to do the lift without the rears here yet. So far I've been happy with it. No strange vibes or noises anywhere and seems to ride very good. Went with 315/70/17, wheels are KMC Robby Gordon II's. I had 13.5" of clearance at the front skid, and 10.5 at the rear diff, but I've let a little air out of the tires since they were a little overfilled for my taste. Lost a 1/4 inch of clearance at the front skid and maybe the same at the rear, but didn't check it yet to confirm. CV's aren't flat, but not at a crazy angle either, so I think I can live with that. Trade off for the clearance I guess. With a daughter in college there is only so much cash I can throw at it at once. But, I will eventually try to upgrade things in the future. Still rocking the stock UCA for now etc. I have not had to do any trimming yet, but haven't really had a chance to get out and see if it's going to rub anywhere. I thought I heard either a very slight rub or a creak in the suspension on a hard turn that stuffed the tire on the outside front, but it was so faint I didn't get a chance to figure it out, and it was only once. Looking around I can't see any evidence it has rubbed anywhere. But when I get some time I'll get out and try to find any rubs and trim if need be. Over all I'm happy with it, and the ride. And personally, I really like the stance with the 315's. I've been through the Texas hill country with it and I barely noticed a difference on the hills with them, other than the speedo being off of course. But I haven't been fully loaded with gear etc in some mountains, so we'll see if a re-gear is in my future. I expected it would be, but so far I was pleasantly surprised with the stock gearing. I should note that I'm not building it for hardcore rock crawling (wouldn't have started with an IFS rig if I was) or a desert racer, but I do plan to wheel it too. At least to the best of it's ability. Anywho.. I'll add a couple of the few pics I have taken so far.

Having the tires there and mounted is impt. That way they can cycle and check clearances.

Good to know! I do have the tires on. they barely rub, but have spacers. I HATE having those on, so hopefully the CMC allows me to drive with out them. They also said they will help with some minor tripping on the interior of the fender.

Mark the cut with your CMC plates (assuming you already have some) and cut back to the cab mount hole and you should be good.

I actually do not have the plates. The shop I am taking it said they can make them pretty easy.

If you have a DB I assume the spacers are helping to clear the spindle or UCA? Depending on wheel offset.

I didn't need a CMC on my old DB truck with 34s and a 4.75 BS.

Yeah, i have a Fabtech. There is plenty of space between the Tire and the UCA. It might not be that. It could be the spindle. When I put on the 315x75x17 I assumed the spacer was needed due to rubbing on the cab. I could be wrong though, didn't even think to ask.

I will be curios to see how this works for you. I had to trim the inner-fender well and do the cab mount chop to stop the rubbing.
I have the FabTech on mine with the same tire. I'm running fuel wheels with 4.75 back spacing and have no issues rubbing on anything besides the cab mount and the inner fender well. I have since resolved that issue. I am not running spaces BTW.
