Ok coo so nothing has changed from when the kit was first released.

I'm no suspension expert. All I know is I cranked the 16" 600Lbs down to the point where I tried 18" 650lb springs then settled on 18" 700lb springs and I've been happy since on the height and stiffness. (No swaybar either)

Only a front Trail gear bumper no winch. The bigger springs are strictly for cosmetic reasons from what I understand.

How much pre load do you currently have?

I haven’t done anything to the preload springs or collar as far as adjusting. When I contacted fox they said their is 1200lbs of force on the stop collar with the strut off the vehicle. The only thing I measured is the threads above the collar on the coilover and there is 2”. My sway bar is still on the vehicle. I think the only lift I really got was from the drop bracket because my cv axles are dead straight and I believe they had a slight angle down to them when stock but not 100% sure. Anyway I’m just looking for some feedback and/or ideas of what people have done with good results. Really wish I could have ordered the kit with heavier springs but they claimed I couldn’t.

appreciate the info though. I may look into longer or heavier springs.

What do you guys use for extended brake lines or replacing your factory brake lines after your 6” lift. Links appreciated. Mine is a 07 dclb trd sport with 6” fabtech lift (bought truck with the lift already installed), swapped shocks to rcd 5100 and bilstein 5125, kept rear block with Dakars. I think I need new lines as my Brakes are feeling mushy/spongy and sometimes scary when coming down hill or riding the brakes crawling down hill. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I finally get to post in this thread, after lurking for a while. I recently picked up a 19 TRD OR 4x4 DCSB. It already had a Pro Comp lift, and 22x12 wheels with 33x12.5 Toyo Open Country MT.
It looks to have the the factory front Coil and Shock with a large spacer, and pro Comp shocks + spacer in the rear. At some point I will upgrade all this.
I also do not like the wheels on there, and am trying to decide if I should get new wheels in the same size, or potentially 20x12. I will likely stick with 33x12.5 tires, as I do not want to deal with regearing for 35's.

I have a 2012 taco with a fabtech 6" lift and the Bilstein front shocks with custom perch to take the front shock spacer off. I need to replace my rear shocks now though. I previously replaced them with procomps.

Does anyone know the right part number to go with Bilsteins or something like that on a 6" lift rear shocks?

I just ordered these exact ones from Headstrong Off-road and the part number was f4-be5-e122. Headstrong was amazing to do business with and fast shipping. I think they had the best prices too at the time. Hope this helps shocks are excellent

These rear shocks are for 3-4 inches of rear lift. The lift my truck has is 6 inch front and 4 inch block in the rear

Been hearing I can only go with a 18inch wheel on the fabtech 6inch lift due to the tie rods. Is this true or can certain 17inch wheels work? TIA!

I can’t speak for fabtech but I was able to go with a 17 inch wheel in a -6 offset with my rough country 6 inch lift with no clearance issues. You might be able to get by with wheel spacers or a more negative offset wheel to clear I just had to have 4.5-5 inches of backspacing according to the rough country website.

I love those automatic steps. Thanks for sharing. I opted for a 3" lift but I told them I see a 6" lift in my future and this is my guideline. I also planned on getting the supercharger and tune to pair with my 5.29's. They tried talking me down to 4.88 and I just blank faced them until they never mentioned it again.

17x9 -12 XD wheels and I ended up running Spidertrax spacers on all 4 corners shortly after I did my lift. That tierod end was basically touching the wheel (like 1mm off and somehow someway I had a slight groove in the inside of the wheel). You can also shave down the tierod ends slightly just taking off excess material as some guys have done. The issue remember is because you flip the tirerod position when you do the drop bracket. 18" youre for sure in the clear.
