Np man. 6inch kits are pretty badass. In my opinion, the shorter the truck, the more ba the 6inch kit looks.

You are correct, unless you use wheel spacers to push the wheel out far enough. The reason is the larger spindle and tie-rod and sway bar connections.
Since this question has come up a lot, I will try to take a pic of my 17" wheels to show the spacing that is left. Its not much.

Not hard at all. Lift the truck by the frame or tow package so the axle can hang, then slightly lift up the axle and support. Unbolt the u-bolts then the leaf springs. I believe that I had to remove the shackles from the mount first then the shackle from the leaf springs.
When putting the new ones on, remember that the drivers side had the gas tank so the spring will be a little longer (about 1/2") to compensate. Don't be like me and put them on wrong and have to do the install all over again.
Another thing to keep in mind is the direction of the bolts. If you put them in backwards on the shackle side, the extra length or nut will hit and not allow for full articulation.

They are aware of it and I was not until it was installed and leaned like crazy to the drivers side. Oops, now you know.

Ok here are pictures showing the backside of my 17" wheel. There is about 1/2" clearance from the tie-rod.

Hey fellas. Has anyone had any problems with rattling when they hit a jarring bump in the road. Ive been noticing it lately. I can't figure it out. Im pretty sure the UCA is not hitting my c/o. Im thinking maybe it could be my sway bar rattling??? I really don't know. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I didn't notice it when i had my top plate spacers. Only after my c/o install.

Bump for my previous question. I spent an hour under there yesterday checkin everything out and cannot find anything. Im really starting to think it is the swaybar.

take it off and drive around. if it still makes the sound you will know its not the bar doing it . or try a rubber mallet and tap everything to see if it will make the sound

Thanks for the response. Come to think of it, one of the screws on the drivers side c clamp is loose. But i don't know if one little screw would make that much noise. I'll just take it off and see if that works.

Could be a bad tie rod end possibly.
Also had a vibration and popping when hitting bumps that was actually caused by a blown cv joint bearing. If the cv is really loose on one side, this could be the problem.
I also had a banging or popping when turning and hitting a bump. Found out it was my brake line bracket (attached to the new spindle) hitting the coil over.

its obvious you spent alot of money building this truck and if you like it thats all that matters. i just don't get this look with the small wide ass tires? does this provide sometype of advantage off road i assume thats why you would do this to your truck seeing as your running tsl boggers?

    Question?
Right now i have a 6in lift with 35's. The tires rub a bit and was wondering if i were to put on a 1in body lift would that eliminate the rub completely?
    Any advise would be nice.
    Thanks
