Quick question for you all.... when you calculate your mpg with your new tires and all, do u calculate whatever your odometer says, or use a formula for accurate results? With the new lift, and 33's, I'm at 100 miles, and at half tank already, which I know isn't accurate, and having winter gas doesn't help, but I'm hoping that mpg improve.... or least of all, getting used to parking again...

I dont know what to say to ya buddy, but I'm in a similar/worse position.

I am just now finishing my first tank of gas since getting the lift last week and I cannot believe how low my mileage is. With the 245's, I was getting 21.5 mpg.. consistently. Yes, you read that right, 21.5....

I'm on track for 12 mpg right now... not yet re-geared, but it's gotta be the heavy ass trail grapplers (34'ish) gobbing all over the roads.

    Holy ish.

with my 34-35's BFG KM2's i am right about 11.5-12% off of my odometer. (according to both tire calc and gps) So I take my total miles multiply by .12 then add that number to my total miles then divide by the number of gallons and that should get you actual miles per gallon. and im right about 15 in town and 17 on freeway. With no regear

Wait, if u use eibachs with your 6 inch lift, does it add lift? I would like to upgrade my front end and get away from the stock shocks, is there a fairly inexpensive way of accomplishing that without adding any more lift?

Ideally I'd like to get the Alcan or Deaver packs but they are too expensive to ship so I'll probably go to a local spring shop and get mine rearched and leafs added to level it out.

If you just want to upgrade the shocks you can replace the stockers with 5100's set at zero. That's a nice upgrade without adding lift. I'm going to have the installer break down my coils/shocks and set the shocks at zero lift. Im keeping the Eibach coils because I like them and they help support my winch. They do add 1.6 inches of lift to the 6 from the ProComp but 200 lbs on the bumper would sag the factory coils at least an inch and I don't want that. I think the weight made the Eibachs squat about 3/4 of an inch so I'll probably end up with 6 3/4 to 7 inches of front lift. I don't anticipate any issues with that setup.

Who wouldn't want 35's? Problem is bad gas mileage, lack of power, still gotta trim, and extra stress on the drivetrain and brakes are not worth it. That's my opinion but I only have a four banger.

Why don't you find a local guy with 285's and do a test fit?
