okay, so i got the fabtech 3.5" lift coilover kit on the truck finally. I AM STILL RUNNING MY 35" MICKEY THOMPSONS and i also put the daystar 1" body lift on.... now the 35's dont rub in the slightest bit, the truck is sitting very nicly and the UCA's and CV's are not at an angle they will suffer at all.

i had desert rat, a very well respected offroad shop in Albuquerque install everything and they were very pleased with it. they do typically 10-15 tacomas per month and said the Fabtech kit i brought them was very nice and simple. the body lift kit though they were confused about since they had NEVER SEEN a 1" lift for the Taco, (everyone brings the 3" body lift) (i personally dont like how much frame shows with the 3")

i will be posting pics this week.

I also bought a Gibson exhaust and full k&n at the same time from www.hopupracing.com when i ordered my fabtech from them.

they have very good prices and FREE SHIPPING.

No way. The CV's are at a BAD angle near 3" alone.....Let alone higher. Take it off road a couple times, and report back. No dirt roads, either. Get a little bit-O-flex, and lets see whats waht. :)

i am just reporting what i was told, they asked me what i would be using it for.. which i believe you and i talked about too chris, and they said for my style of offraod they were not bad, they did say dont try to jump it,,, duh. my truck is my daily driver, the most i do is go through mud or soft dirt, nothing hard or high impact,,,, all slow stuff... yes i am a wuss, but thats just what i enjoy my buddy with an 04 wants to do the long travel with extended Lower arms and stuff, i told him its a waste.

here are some pics,,,, they arent as good as the ones i was gonna take cause i just went to the parking lot next door and used my phone. but you guys are wanting so much i figured i would fill the spank bank for tonight. lol

That looks like more than 3.5" lift, but it also could be the tires. Keep an eye on your stuff, and let us know in a week or so how its going. :)

thanks guys, i am very happy with this. and chris,,, i will definatley watch it, i respect you and your knowledge alot. i set the coilovers at about 2.5 and there is the toytech .5" lift top plate so 3" of total lift, the the body lift makes it 4" of lift as far as the body is concerned. it is funny seeing my chich get in it..... i must admit i fell out once already too. the tires give it that added something too it think.

hey chris... what do you think would happen if i mount the 35x12.50 on a 8" rim? the tires are mounted on a 10" right now.

I dont know much about tires, but I belive Davaid Tarantino does. IIRC, that width tire needs an 10 inch rim. Ask him just to be safe, though. :)

thanks bro, will do. i had originally had those mickey's ounted on my stock rims if you remember, but i wanted the rims i bought. i like them but they stick out a bit too far for my liking, also they are having an issue with balancing, discount tire has to rebalance them like evey month. so they said if i want they will trade me 15x8 with a -30 offset for my 15x10 -46 since that might be causing the issue. when they were on my stock rims they balanced fine and stayed balanced. weird hu.
