Is there a way to just disable or adjust the sensitivity on the factory alarm? Mine randomly goes off. New batteries in the fob and vehicle battery is fine. No idea why it's doing it. No electronic mods done aside from head unit two years ago. This started about 4 months ago.

I've run into this twice now. 1st time was camping, figured the trash bag on the floor shifted or something, kinda shook it off. Then this morning I woke up to the familiar annoyance and realized I was the jerk neighbor that had an alarm going off at 5am! Sorry neighbors!

I found a contact number for the alarm company (Karr/SWDS) Customer service was awesome, she stayed on the phone with me and walked me through the instructions.

I did my best to remember them:
    Unlock vehicle
    Open driver door
    get in
    close driver door
cycle ignition to "on" (2 clicks of key, or 2 pushes of start button)
    Turn ignition off
    open driver door
    close driver door
hold valet button for 5 seconds. (horn will chirp once)
number of flashes from green light shows current sensitivity setting (1-10)
    Mine was at 5
press valet button equivalent to the sensitivity you want to set (2 pushes for level 2 etc) 1 is low, 10 is high.
    cycle ignition to "on"
    turn ignition off
    open driver door
    close driver door
*At some point after resetting the sensitivity I got another horn chirp, but I forget when it was... I think after i closed the door to finish the cycle?

    Hopefully this helps!

What alarm system do you have? There is nothing to adjust on the factory alarm unless you have the optional glass break sensor. The post above is not factory.
