Factory alarm system going off

    You could probably pull the fuses easier than unplugging the horn. There were 2 in our 4Runner which were promptly pulled while working on the battery issue that caused it to go off in the first place.

    Quicksand with hood protector, color matching decals on tailgate latch, mudflaps, glovebox, and tailgate hitch cover.
    I actually ended up just unplugging the horn. Someone here said that for factory installed alarms, they put an additional horn on the right side under the hood, next to the fender. Sure enough, I looked and there it was! So for now, I just unplugged the horn. It was not hard once I figured out how to unplug it! So far,so good...

    Yeah there's a fuse for each one under the hood too. Then you don't have to worry about introducing moisture and corrosion into the connectors if you ever want to use them again.

    take it to the shop and have them check the wiring on that driver door, door sensor wire. Chances are it is grounding out and causing the alarm to trip.
