    Hello all,

I just had the front windows in my '17 tinted today to match the rear windows, and the tint shop removed the factory alarm stickers before they tinted the windows. I guess that's good, but I personally like having those stickers. Does anyone have a pic of the factory 3rd gen alarm stickers, or, even better, a part number for them? Also, I don't guess it hurts the tint to put the stickers on the tint? I think they would also still be slightly visible with 20% tint...

    Thanks.

I removed those the second day. The flashing red light is enough of a warning for me.

Also, the passenger side one was crooked from the factory. Ha!

If anyone is interested, probably not, but regardless, I got a part number via chat on a Toyota dealer website...the part number is 74515-06010. I ordered a pair on oemtoyotaparts4less.com. I have OCD, but, hey, my truck, right? Anyway, thanks...

just out of curiosity... do you like them because of the look? or because you think they are a deterrent?

Well, I guess a little of both. I do like the look, though. I'm really OCD on a lot of things, and I kinda like keeping some things on a vehicle the way it came from the factory...a bit of a 'purist' I guess. It's weird, I know...:)

It’s ridiculous that Toyota made a glass break sensor an option and not standard. I get it, cost savings and all that. But cmon, it’s 2017. My 2003 Acura RSX, which has a cassette player, had a glass break sensor standard.

And of course they get you with their labor rates because you have to enable the damn glass break sensor via tech stream

I just got mine tinted this past Saturday and they took them off. Which i requested it. But he said they always remove them. He made it seem that it would effect the tint around it.

I'm actually taking my truck in tomorrow for 5K check and I had some issues with the tint so I have already put some painters tape above each sticker telling the tint guy to remove them. The passengers side was crooked and plus I figure the tint will pull away from the stickers after some time. The last tint guy for my SR5 removed them, but it was at a tint shop not the dealer.

My tint shop told me the same thing, so I guess it's true.

Yes. You'll get a visible line around the edges of the sticker if it is not removed. Similar but worse than what you see on windows with defrosters or black out areas.
