my steering wheel has pick up and hang up phone buttons but they are not linked to anything. Is this a Bluetooth that I can somehow connect to my cell phone? Is there another thread that already covers this possibly? I just got the truck about two months ago and I don't have an owners manual for it so I'm not too sure about this feature or how it works or how to set it up.

Try to push the Talk button and let the voice prompts take you through it. If you're not sure what to say, just pause for a second and it will list the available commands for you.

My first 2011 had the JBL radio that looked just like yours. It did have Bluetooth but it only worked for phone calls. You can't stream music through it. Press that button on the bottom and listen to the prompts...one of the options should be setup..go through that until it gives you the pair phone option. You'll be able to make and receive calls.

Cool, that's exactly the type of info I was looking for. That's a bummer that it doesn't do music though. I hate auxiliary. Bluetooth or USB is the only way to go for quality.

I don't have an iPod, just an iPhone 5. Link for the Bluetooth? And how difficult is that to install?

Crutchfield carries the USA spec and I'm reading a lot of reviews that are saying that the sound quality is terrible, and being that this thing is $150 that seems kind of risky.

It's looking like the grom won't even properly connect to my JBL head unit so I think I might have to get the USA spec and at least give it a shot. If it doesn't work I guess I can just return it. But getting a Bluetooth that links to the 3.5 mm kind of defeats the purpose because then you have auxiliary sound quality and not BlueTooth quality.
