I can hear it when I have the windows down and really only when accelerating and even then once it shifts up it's not really noticed.

Is the muffler mounted further back on your truck due to the long bed? If thats the case, I think that would definitely make a difference.

That makes sense. But I'm not really sure how it compares to a short bed.
