    All the one on my 2003 managed to do was rub the paint off the lip of my Hood from 12 years and 140k miles of buffeting against it

    usually these keep rocks from taking paint off the front of the bumper where it turns down real hard on a normal truck. This truck has a huge grill that will save the hood from that... but then take paint off the grill

    This is true. I have one on my Colorado I'll be trading in Monday and I shall wait for them to design one for my new 16' black beauty Tacoma. Good hood protector for sure.
