Just curious, for wayyyy future planning.. Can you turn off the factory amp/sub? In-line kill switch to "remote" wire for amp? Having discussions with the wife, and she mentioned when we decide for her to pop up babies how subs may be a bother... lol.

Subs aren't strong enough to effect anything or anyone at all. I've farted more SPL then the entune sub can put out.

But if she's bitching and won't stop, turn down the bass in the settings.

I've ran L7s and Memphis 1000d amp back in the day. Not saying this is anything like that but it is louder than a non-subbed vehicle.

You could add a potentiometer inline to the sub output. Might work.

I'd still just turn it down with the settings.

The baby won't mind a little bass. When you do have a kid, make sure to not be extremely quiet while they're sleeping. Go about as usual, if you're too quite while they're sleeping any little noise will wake them up.

^^ This! Obviously don't turn it way up as to damage any ears, but just listen to it normally and they'll be fine. My kids can sleep rather well now, and the side effect is that they also enjoy my stereo systems now. :)

Couldn't you just turn down the bass on the head unit?
