Are you looking for the heater grid with new module? Or just the connector and terminals?

From what I understand, most people are buying the new replaced grid with all the connectors. Essentially I need the black amp box and the pin connector. I would be splicing it into place as I'm not taking it to a dealer and not ripping my seat apart.

Bit far for me... I'm a parts advisor in Surrey, I MIGHT be able to get a friend to bring it up for you, but not sure of timing or anything.

I tried to purchase the module from a few places online. I think because it was a Toyota part number the websites allowed it to be ordered, only to find out there are none available in the country....

Your option is to buy the replacement assembly and install the whole thing or splice in the connector and amp.... Or find a used amp locally

I am looking for one from a junkyard to try to be cheaper then if I can't, will need to order the assembly. I will end up just splicing in the new connector and amp because I don't want to open up the seat

Yes, it has been working just fine. I've been leaving it on and it has been nice and toasty once again.

Looks like I had the same issue as RonDog. 2019 OR and tried seat heaters a few weeks ago for first time without either of them working. Took it in today and told the dealer another member stated his Tacoma was missing the relay(s?). They thought I was crazy. I just picked it up and they confirmed that no relay (or relays) was/were installed. They were dumbfounded. All good for now.

So I had the same module burn on my 2016 Tacoma after 52K Km. Went to Toyota and paid 150 bucks diagnostic fee for the part that i had already extracted and handed to them (also printed out the PDF from earlier in this thread), and then i was told (after 2 hours) that the part was in fact broken (duh). Luckily i have the platinum protection plan, and they told me that it would be replaced under that warranty for free (minus the diagnostic fee). I‘ve now been waiting 4 weeks, and was told yesterday that there is not even a sign of these parts being on order or production. So I wait and the winter temperatures go down....

Sounds like a shady dealer, you should not have had to pay any diagnostic fees if you have an extended Toyota warranty.

How does this harness unplug? Do you pinch the black pieces together and then push down on the white clip?

Hmm..I saw someone with this same problem. They fixed it by fixing the connection and wiring in a thermal limiter. Let me see if I can find it.

It does seem the most common issue is at the connector. I’m sure there are electrical repair shops that can repair the controller without too much trouble, possibly install a different/better connector, but even just repairing it should be possible.

    If I had the time...

That's all there is. What else is there to know? Basically, remove that power pin from the connector. Solder a thermal limiter to the rear of the connector to bypass the scorched pin. Solder the other end of the thermal connector to the power wire you removed from the connector. Plug the connector back into the amp. May need to modify the plastic casing slightly. Make sure things are cleaned up/heatshrinked, etc. blah blah.

What!?!! It can’t be that easy. Thanks for posting this. Glad I waited a little bit. This should be pretty damn cheap to fix it and less invasive than the other methods

Yeah assuming the board is good and it's just the connector that's problematic, easy fix and prevent it happening again.
