I removed the seat completely. Makes the job super easy.

That’s correct. I had a professional do the soldering to the board. Then I did the soldering to the seat wiring.

That sucks. Maybe you can find one in a scrap yard?

Especially if they (the dealer) lost the module!

Looks like my driver side seat is out. Can you just pop out the front seat bolts to get easier access? Any airbag concerns doing that? Mainly just trying to disconnect the plug to see if this is my issue.

Not if you just pull the bolts and tip the seat back.

Just making sure I fully understand the process before I take a jab at it.

Prerequisites - Disconnect battery, have new wire connectors on hand, tools to unbolt seat, soldering iron

Step 1. Desolder the stock wire connector from the heater amp then attach the new connecter
    (https://www.amazon.com/QOFOWIN-Waterproof-Connectors-Electrical-Connections/dp/B085HNSVY4?keywords=5+wire+connector&qid=1643834747&sr=8-2&th=1)

Step 2. Cut the factory harness and solder together the wires from the factory harness to the other end of the new connecter.

Step 3. Reassemble everything and plug it all in and hope it doesn't go up in smoke

If you haven’t already ordered those connectors I’d go with awg14 or the biggest that will fit in the pcb solder holes, not for the current capacity but to pull more heat from the module. Probably ok but it’s one place overkill won’t have a downside. Use flux.

Not seeing anything larger than 16awg on Amazon in those prewired connectors.

Then leave as much wire as it comes with, don’t shorten them on the module side.

How did y'all get that white female connector out of the pins? Is it easiest to desolder the pins from the board then try to finesse the connector off the pins? Or is there a trick to it etc

The guy that did mine said it took a lot of heat to get the connector desoldered from the board.

Seems like you got the idea! I wasn’t confident in working on the amp myself so I had a guy do that part for me.
