Screw the Plug and just solder it directly because a replacement won't fit anyways.

look back to post #376 or so for what i did

I'm not the best at soldering, I felt like solding wire to those pins that are already soldering to the board would be easier?

You need the heaver gauge wire to "pull" the heat off the board better. ask a friend or go to youtube..... for soldering help
and fix both sides while your at it..

3 things you need to solder well:
    Clean parts
    Flux
Enough heat to melt the solder quickly.

It helps to pre-tin the wire(marine grade comes pre-tinned). Clamp the board so it doesn’t move under pressure, slip each tinned wire through the hole, apply flux, then heat, then solder and remove the iron. 63/37 is easiest to use and 60/40 almost the same. 97/03 Lead free is a pain. Your supposed to apply solder to the heated joint but it’s also possible to melt a drop on the iron tip and apply that to the fluxed board/wire and watch until you see it wick into place. If it doesn’t happen within 3-5 seconds stop, clean up, and start over. An iron with heat adjustment and a variety of tips is way better than a fixed temp pencil since the amount of heat needed corresponds to the mass being soldered.

I can confirm that this works on the 2nd Gen, it’s been too many years without it! Used 14 gauge wiring, man was it a bitch! Soldered and heat shrink! Used about 10” of wire, hopefully it helps with heat dissipation.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
2016 TRD Off Road with 65K miles.

My driver side seat heater failed about 2 months ago. I use it almost every day for about 5 months of each year. Lower back injury issues and the heat really helps.

So I finally took it to the dealer to diagnose.

No charge warranty repair in my case. Warranty of course has expired but they are covering it and I did not ask.

They quoted TSB T-TCI-5153. I think some of these TSB numbers might be different for CDN vs USA purchased trucks?

From the service receipt. Waiting for parts to arrive still.

CORRECTION: NEED TO REPLACE THE HEATED SEAT AND RESISTER BLOCK AND. RETEST. THERE IS A TSB FOR THIS ISSUE T-TCI-5153 FOR THIS

    confused

TSB T-TCI-5153 refers to vehicle acceleration stumble, nothing related to seat heaters?
And that is a Canadian bulletin (where you are from).

Also surprised warranty covering a 6 yo vehicle

Call me skeptical. But hoping the best for you. Let us know how you make out

Yup, that is the data they gave me, and also verbally said no issues, it is covered under warranty. Was quite surprised by that. Will check next week to see if parts are in.

However, this is the dealer that has done all the work on the truck for 4 years now, and never an issue with the quality of work. Plus very good customer service.

Maybe they are just hoping I will do a trade in at some point for a new vehicle. Some dealers do like to keep their customers for life and do what they need to do to make that happen.

Curious. I look up the part number for the module (87501-0C020) but the module that comes up shows it’s only for the Toyota Tundra. Is this the same module? If not can I still use it? Mine is burnt pretty bad and was told by Toyota to go kick rocks so I am going to be replacing mine this weekend.

Did you "FIX" both seats because the other will die also, and it will be easer now that you did the first side. I was surprised how brunt my other one was getting.
