I had the full front clip done with ceramic pro Kavaca PPF as soon as I got my 2023 trail edition from the dealership.
Just make sure you use an installer who can show you thier work if possible and go with a high end product like expel or ceramic pro Kavaca.
When installed correctly you will hardly be able to notice the film. Im very happy with how it turned out.

How do you care for it? Do you wash and wax it just like paint, or do you have to use a special product on it?

Most dealers farm this job out to reputable shops…. You could prob save a little money by taking delivery and taking it to a shop yourself

    I agree with Halloween.
Best to find a shop yourself to install PPF. There can be cutting involved and you dont want just anyone insalling PPF on your new vehicle, and as stated, you could save some cash.
Taking care of the product, just wash as you normally would, but keep pressure washers away from any panel edges at close range as this could cause the film to lift.
I have my PPF topped with ceramic, so I dont need to wax.
I also returned to the installer after 2 weeks to make sure the PPF had bonded correctly. ( this was recommended ).

My truck came from the Toyota distributor with the factory PPF - Hood and Doors. So much cleaner install than getting it done through a 3rd party.

Just like the rest of the paint. It’s low maintenance.
