factory radio/bad reception 2005 tacoma

I have a 2005 tacoma with factory radio with cd player and the radio stations come in real staticky i m comparing this to my old radio out of my 1998 tacoma any suggestions//??any body else have same problem what did you do about it listen to cd instead??thanks Rusty

 

id make sure all connections are tight. especially the antenia. i read someplace and im not usre if it was on here or not the antennia cable can rust and cause bad reception too
