Does anybody know what is the touch-up color for a Toyota Tacoma 2009 (I know these were available in many different years), 16" 5-Slot Painted Silver Steel Factory Wheel. They all just don't seem to be the exact same factory color, which is driving me crazy. I want to avoid re-painting all the rims with a different color if possible.I've tried just about every "rattle can" out there. stl69459u20uoe_1.jpg

I was just looking for this thread. Saved it to buy that same paint. Now I just have to stop thinking about it and actually do it.

When I used to work for volvo ordering rims was always tricky because like you said there’s silver and then theres “bright “ silver. Same rim but different shades

Do they sell this in a paint....and not just a peel coat?? I want to paint them and have it be more permanent.

Go to an auto paint and body supply place. They will have sample cards that represent every possible shade and then they can make you a batch of custom paint and even put it in a spray can. Won't be cheap though.. at least $75.

Alternatively, find a "wheel fixer" in your area. These guys normally work on curb rash or bent rims, but many also do a good job of matching to factory paint colors. You can ask your local tire shops who they sub work out to when they damage a customer's wheel.
