Yeah, I was going to see if possible to use the index page & current folder for the links vs full link.
If I figure it out, I'll post. But it's not my day job so don't expect miracles. :)

I'm considering getting a subscription to TIS, downloading the service manual for the 2018 SR5 onto a thumb drive, taking it to Staples and have them print it into a manual. Can anyone see why that wouldn't work? possibly due to the way TIS has the information displayed?

Go here as suggested. Install an addon in your browser that allows downloading all files and pull them down. Make a new directory on your computer and move the files there. Take the main html file and modify everywhere the URL is mentioned and replace it to your new directory location. You now have all the files locally with a html file you can search from your browser. I even put this on my google drive so I can get to it from all my devices.

Got an index file done for all of the PDF's. Just place it into the same directory as all of your PDF's. Open it up and the links should all work. I spot checked serveral and worked. If you find any bad one's, let me know. Just make sure you have all of the PDF's downloaded 1st.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Bybey724yqSvgyhcjOAV19Y3CLuXdvVj/view?usp=sharing

Save the ~repair.html to the same folder. Let me know if you have issues accessing it.

I did this on Windows, but it should work for mobile too. I might test that out after this is posted

Looks like this won't work on Android. But, if you have a windows pc/laptop seems to work fine in chrome anyway.

    Thanks mrlee sounds good.
I've downloaded a service and parts manual to a skid steer onto a thumb drive and had Staples print it and compile it into an 3 ring binder for about $50. Considering a reem of paper, the binder, the ink, and the convenience I think it was a fair price.

Post #14 - download to your laptop - copy to cloud storage. Yours as long as you want it. The customtacos.com and what's in post #14 are the same, but if Toyota ever decides to shutdown customtacos.com, then...…………..

I really like what is proposed here.
Could someone that has done this before do a " How to ".
This would be appreciated by all no doubt about it.

We could have it added to the tutorials as well.

Problem is, different folks have different OS. Apple, Android Windows. Therefore different instructions would apply.

I ended up using Android for the download, but windows to edit the master page. The master page I shared only currently works in windows, but I'm sure it can be engineered to work across OS. That would be ideal. I'm just not a web dev and like to poke around. I'll work on eventually getting the main page more friendly to other devices. But not my day job, just will get around to it when I can.

Since I have all of the Pdfs, no worry about the OP copy going off line. I can share them and I'm sure others on here have downloaded them all as well..

I'll keep going on it, but also welcome any suggestions..

Maybe we can come up with OS specific directions in the end for each. I'm sure I can get a virtual apple OS to work with as well. Just all takes time.

So I decided to bite the bullit and subscribe to Toyotas TIS site to have a look at the 2013 TRD shop manual.
Only 20 bucks for two days.

    Well,....

1)The site is bugged and won't let us in.
    2) The site is run buy Snap on, so Toyota do not take responsibility for the sites short commings.
    3) Snap on's site policy is NO CREDITS APPLIED TO 2 DAY SUBSCRIPTIONS.

So, I called the 1-800 tech line help to find out what is going on.
A computer generated message says, ...were are aware of present site failures.
Please call techline for further assistance.

    So I did,...they opened a service ticket...
Still no site access 1 hour later.
So the site also offers a PASSWORD rest link just incase it might have been a password glithc...
The link expires in 1 hour...
Please find the link in the attached picture, cause I cant![IMG]

Not the end of the world, but the 2 day subscription went up from $15 -> $20. I suppose Snap-On did that.

Here's the yack about Snap-On. The phone number for TIS is -> 877-762-7666. Thanks for posting. I was about to pull the trigger on a 2 day deal. I may wait awhile:

Also concerned about system requirements. Windows 10 not listed:

I did get a response from Toyota about the site not working.
They claimed that my username and password were operational this morning.

It did work as expected 1 day later...
I guess it doesn't really matter , it now works.

So for $20, the site is what you would expect.
Full bullitens, and shop manual for only $20!

As you go through the shop manual, you can print pages to be saved.
If you're a little creative you can even print out your pages in pdf.

Remember that Toyota have a disclosure on not reproducing their shop manual.
Thats why each page on their site has a print icon:thumbsup:

So why search the web for something illeagal, outdated, or not for your specific model when you can get the real deal for 20 buck?

    Thanks Toyota:hattip:
