I just purchased a used 2016 Tacoma limited with no receiver.
I bought and had installed a kenwood DMX7706S. I have back camera and steering wheel controls working but DRL not working along with light or beep for locking with key fob and headlights do not turn off automatically when I turn truck off and exit and lock it. I have to turn headlights off manually.
Should I return the receiver and look for a used Entune so I can change these in settings, or buy a maestro rr, or take to dealer to have them select these in settings?

Since it is compatible, I would definitely get the Maestro, it’s just really nice to have. Then, if that doesn’t give you the functionality you need, enquire at the dealership about these settings.

I don’t know where this stuff is stored, so I can’t give a real answer to your question. I just know that I really like having the iData in my ‘09. The settings you are talking about, I found while screwing around in the HU of my new 4Runner, and don’t know if they are accessible otherwise. I want to say that I was given access to these settings once I connected my phone with the Entune app installed, and things were greyed out until then, but it might have just been because I wasn’t in Park and the phone/app is irrelevant, IDK.

Unfortunately I can’t test out what’s available without the factory HU for you. If your gauge cluster LCD screen is still enabled, it’s possible you can find the settings by digging through that using your steering wheel controls.
