    Hello All,

I'm on a first gen facebook page and today I found two people in the comments, both claiming that their tacoma came with a solid axle from the factory. One has an '02 and the other has an '04. I've heard of many people who do a solid axle swap but up until today I had never heard of anyone claiming they had a factory solid front axle. Is there any chance these two guys actually have a rare edition I've never heard of, or are they definitely wrong/bullshitting?

    Thanks in advance

News to me. If true gotta be worth some heavy coin.

Personally: I choose to think it's bullshit.

Toyota hasn’t had a solid front axle from the factory since like 85

False, completely, since 1986. Even in the rest of the world where the Hilux is the similar platform they went to IFS in 1997.

Ask them if they have some magic beans as well, I’ve got a living dinosaur I am willing to trade

    ^ what he said.

US trucks switched to IFS for 1986-
Non US trucks (Hilux) had solid front axles until 96 I believe. Could be wrong.

If they're in South America, New Zealand, Australia they could have a solid front from the factory...in a Hilux.

85 was the last year for solid front axle in a Toyota pickup in the US.
