Ok so...the cover came around end of July timeframe. Of course it was an Extang, not an OEM like they promised me; the salesman kept reassuring me it was OEM before it arrived. At this point I assumed it was an aftermarket, and bought a LoMax already. I asked my salesman why it wasn't OEM, and he said he didn't know, and told me to go talk to the parts guys.

The parts guys said that the salesman should've known that you cannot get an OEM cover unless already from the factory, and that this isn't the first time this has happened. Alot of back and forth between sales and parts...eventually I asked them for a refund as it wasn't what I was promised. The sales manager tried to find a way out of it, but at this point they couldn't give me anything that interested me, so I persisted with the cover refund. Two months of back and forth, I finally had a refund process started; I had to work directly with the parts manager as my salesman stopped responding to me (he rarely responded after I bought the truck).

Last week I finally received a check for the amount I was owed...all it took was 3 months of my time and alot of frustration.

Long story short - if the truck didn't come with an OEM cover, you're basically SOL, and have to get an aftermarket (not that that is a bad option). Don't be like me and believe everything the salesman says.

Shout out to Celio, he was on top of everything and responded to my messages to make sure I got my money back. The parts department were fighting for me, and I appreciate that.

    Glad it worked out.

I have the OEM and am happy with it, but I am sure some of the aftermarket ones are better. The one concern I have about mine is the plastic breaking when I take it off. I am always careful setting it down, but feel if put down wrong it could break a piece off.

I have the Extang - you’d have been happy with it. Since you’d already bought something else, glad you at least got your money back on it.

When i got my truck the dealer gave me a bottle of this wolfstein tonneau cover protectant to treat it with every few months...said it will protect the covers surface from the suns ultraviolet rays if you keep your truck outside 24/7 as i do. Claimed never use anything like armor all on it.

Also, not sure if this changed on the 2020 models, but for the 2019 models if your truck didn't come with the tonneau cover package, it was missing the side panel caps in the front which seal the gaps between the front of the bed and the side rails. Those gaps are a huge source of leaks without the caps. Makes sure you get them if your truck doesn't have them installed. (parts # 62541-04010 and 62542-04010).
