I'm wondering why the factory TRD lift kit isn't compatible with the 4 door long box, anybody have any ideas?

Don't know why Toyota says it's not. But it is compatible, for some goofy reasons they say it's not.

When I first saw the lift at the dealer it was on a dclb. I posted pics of the rig on the thread. :rasta:

Seeing that the kit is rebranded Bilstein 5100’s with max height setting deleted, it doesn’t make sense. Early literature from the TRD version specifically excluded DCLB’s. But I remember reading here the later versions of the kit had an updated part # and were no longer excluded. Ive had one (5100 version) for a year with zero issues on my DCLB. If you can run 5100’s with no problems, then the TRD kit will be the same.

It could be a similar conflict like when looking up the Trd Pro 4runner Sema wheels. Toyota says they are ‘not compatible’ ‘will not fit’ with Tacomas. But everyone knows they fit and work fine.

Also here is the link to the suspension only, it says WILL fit my 21 DCLB , unless I read it wrong. So perhaps its some red tape with the other aspects of the kit.
