i was born there actually. AK is sweet. Its different there thats for sure.

and really..thats no fair seeing as to how it makes up a 1/3rd or more or something of US land mass..haha

 

Yup. I'll just put this here. And yeah most of those are sine track trails, but we have no shortage of old mining towns and haul roads either. I'll wager far more than most of the lower 48 combined. Gold rush was no small deal up here. I love exploring this state.

and is the basis of the the term "Cracker" as the cowboys there use bull whips to herd their cows. They were called Crackers haha

Small little town in northwest Aabama, it claims (not sure if true any longer, but still a ton of big names record here) The Hit Recording Capitol of the World. Some (older) will know the lyrics from a classic Lynyrd Skynyrd song, Sweet Home Alabama, that go, "Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers, they've been know to pick a song or two".
