South point on the island of Hawaii is the southernmost point in the United States, with AWESOME cliff fishing. Since the waters off the cliffs are deep drop off you can catch open ocean fish right from shore!

    Home to the CORNHUSKERS! :D

Home of the cow 2 legged and 4 legged :p

Nebraska became one of the first states to provide the entire state with educational television in 1963.

The Lied Jungle located in Omaha is the world's largest indoor rain forest.

In 1927, Edwin E. Perkins of Hastings invented the powdered soft drink Kool-Aid.

There are five army forts open to the public in Nebraska: Atkinson, Kearny, Hartsuff, Sidney, and Robinson.

    The Ogallala aquifer, which stretches
as far south as Texas, is Nebraska's primary source of irrigation water.

Nebraska's Ogallala aquifer is the world's largest underground water supply. It's estimated to contain about 800 million gallons of water

40% of the munitions used in WWII had to be manufactured at the Naval Ammunition Depot in Hastings, Nebraska, since the rest of the state was rooting for Hitler. (I didn't know about this one)
