Hey, this is my first post here, I’ve had my 09 RC 4x4 for a year now and have been really loving this truck, the only problem is despite having one owner and 96k when I got it, it was a farm truck, so it’s not the best cosmetically but thats fine because it gives me something to work on. I’m looking at restoring the faded dash panels and to a lesser extent, top of the door panels. I’m thinking about just replacing them if restoring isn’t possible but that’s kinda pricey. Any recommendations (I’ve already tried windex, soapy water, and magic eraser)? They’re not as faded as the camera flash makes them look, but not a whole not better. The rest of the plastic outside the truck is about the same thanks to the TN sun.

Someone may have a better solution, not sure if this is your best option but it will bring some life back to your plastic surfaces. Get a few more opinions, this is just a start.

303 is on the top of my list all I’ve heard about it is good reviews, I just haven’t seen very much on the textured part of the dash posted.

303 is awesome. If you go this route do a thorough prep cleaning first. After 303 is applied it needs to be buffed out. Helps with the bonding process. In your case a few applications may be necessary.
Also, look into Renew Protect products.
They might be better suited for you.

They have a dash specific product.

I put this sh** on everything... well almost. Tires, dash and anything plastic or black. Just finished with the wife's SUV. As @10thMTNgrunt said, clean and buff. This stuff needs to be worked in, but it will last through a couple of car washes and won't bleed when it does get wet.

On another note to @10thMTNgrunt, thank you for your service. My uncle served with the 10th during WWII in the European Theater.

Much appreciated David and thank you for sharing your Uncle’s story with me as well as his uniform image:hattip:
Was he part of the downhill combat ski patrols? I’ve only heard rumors and a few stories of the 10MTN chaps who served with such honor and distinction in WWII.

    +1 on 303 product.

My '13's plastic (especially dash) wasn't faded, but just look dry. Several applications of 303 brought it back to life.

Yes he was. I have some pictures of him on skis. My dad also served in WWII in the European Theater as an official war time photographer with the Navy. Here's a picture of them together celebrating the surrender of the Imperial Japanese Army. Check the headlines on the newspapapers.

303 makes some great products, and I use their Areospace Protectant on my interior with great results. One thing to remember is it's only a dressing, not a coating, so it will need to be reapplied every so often.

I've never seen this done, but maybe consider using Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat. It's made for exterior plastic trim and is a true coating. It's not a dressing, is super easy to apply, and made my faded exterior plastic trim look brand new. The packaging says it will last for at least 200 washes. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SHJVK4G?ie=UTF8

+1 on the cerakote. I did all of my interior and exterior plastic this past weekend. In the picture the door has been done but the dash has not. It looks real nice but is a little bit shiny.
