    Hi all,

I have a 2002 black tacoma extra cab. In the last few months the roof has really faded. I have started to wax the truck, but its too late for the roof. I was wondering how I could touch it up? Or if I shouldnt, and I should just have it re-painted, and how much I should be looking to spend on a new paint job on the roof? The hood and everything else looks great, so I just need to fix up my roof.

    Thanks!

You could always plastidip the roof..... Cheap, easy, and would look pretty good too. But eventually probably needs to be repainted

I randomly saw a tutorial for that on YouTube. Does it look pretty good? I don't want to have a crappy looking makeshift paint job lol

plastidip is very user friendly if you mess up somehow or don't like it just peel it off and do it again. ive used it plenty to say it doesn't look bad. I used it today, prepping the truck for the roadtrip tomorrow.

^^ this. I love this shit, if you don't like it just peel it off. I have my bumpers done and I'm happy with it

Okay. You can plasti dip in normal black right? My dad was saying he only thought there was flat black? Also, I'm thinking about selling my truck in a few months so I was thinking about having it repainted for selling

I don't know. I'm not sure if I want mix matched paint. Having a flat black roof with a normal black truck I think would look hodge podge ish

If you plan on selling I would leave it as is. If I was looking at a used car with mismatched panels I would question what the buyer is hiding and definitely would offer less money.
