    Well the dealer inspected my new old 99 taco this am. Verdict: FAIL. Rust broke through when tapped. So now I drive a '10 Corolla and wait for tmc to contact me. More to come.

    Would love another 1st gen-er...errr, sans the rust. :D

    I don't have to be in a huge hurry as it's an extra vehicle. But I have a tendency to be impatient. Ideally another 4wd manual tranny 3.4L. Would have to be ext cab or 4 door. SR5 or TRD would be sweet.

    Bilstein 4600 shocks.
    The real shame in all of this is how Toyota, who has been known for quality above and beyond any of the domestic auto makers, would ever have let all these inferior frames into their parts system. Look at all the first gens that would still have been happily rolling around with completely satisfied owners, had Toyota not managed to let these lousy frames past their qc process. :mad:

    It's just too bad...I hope you can find the truck you want.
