i have a 2015 double cab off road i just got in july brand new, just hit 5k miles so i bring it in for the free service. they said my front end toe alignment failed, but they couldnt tell me by how much. i don't know why they couldn't. BS. i said is it covered by my warranty the truck is like 3 months old that's crazy. and they said no. i opted not to do it cause it steers fine and i haven't even taken it off road yet. just been driving to work. my buddy works at a good year place he is going to check for me. but has anyone else had this problem this early?
i had a 2010 taco that i had till this truck and i only did a alignment once when i got bigger tires.

Make them provide you with the alignment numbers. Then post up here.

I have a 2015 and mine is fine. If you didn't hit anything and it doesn't pull, I think I would chalk it up to bad technician syndrome.

did a quick google search... I would have said "no" before searching but it looks like it is covered for 12 months 12,000 miles under basic coverage. Don't quote me on it as I am not a dealer and I am shocked it is covered the second you leave the shop...

here is the line from a toyota dealer page "Wheel balancing and alignment are also covered under this warranty, however, they are only covered for the first 12 months or 12,000 miles."

OP, I would also take it to another dealer. If it's going to be a drive, call first. Tell them the low mileage and that the alignment is off somehow. I feel like this is a no-brainer - I don't know why they wouldn't just align it for you. Kind of silly.

Alignment and tire balance are both covered under warranty. Unless you hit something and it's obvious.

Same. Had alignment covered under warranty when tire shop couldn't get it right, with non stock tires and size. Go to another dealership immediately.

    this.

Have the dealer align it providing you before and after paperwork, then get it checked at a shop to verify

My dealer told me that the alignment was covered under warranty. The sales manager told me to have it done even if I don't need it. They get paid from Toyota for doing it. I believe the time was 12 months or 12000 miles.
They most likely just looked at your tires and saw some uneven wear.

Actually guys thank you whoever said the 12 mo 12k miles part. I looked it up and found it in the warranty book. Very plain and clear under the basic warranty. I called the service and she said she's never heard of that so she talked to her head manager guy and he never heard of it either and they looked it up and said I was right and they apologized. And said thank you for informing us and they'll make everyone in the service dept aware . Lol I find it kind of ridiculous that no one knew there basic warranty coverage in the service dept. crazy. Thanks again
