I just read this from toyotanation link i just provided...
"For those of you that do use the front diff. drop spacers, you’ll notice that the lower part of the skid plate doesn’t fit flush with the cross member and you’ll have to add about a ¼” spacer of some sort between the cross member and the skid plate. For my particular truck, I used a thick plastic urethane washer so I wouldn’t have any rattle issues at a later date, however a few steel washers would work just fine as well. There are (2) longer bolts that are supplied for the lower skid plate in the kit so use those rather than the factory ones."

Im guessing where he says add about a 1/4 spacer between the cross member and skid plate, that is where those square pieces go? Im not to sure. I will read the manual tomorrow more carefully and see if it mentions what those are for...and the lift install directions that guy said that there are "2) longer bolts that are supplied for the lower skid plate in the kit"...well there are 4 longer bolts?

There are 2 longer large grade 8 bolts that hold the diff, then the small ones are for installing the skid with those little clearance spacers.
